In the Four main aerodynamic forces, what will happen if there is no gravity (weight)? The answer is the planes wouldn’t fly. Why is that? Because without a gravity field the lift force which is produced in the Paper Airplane will create an imbalance and it drifts them away! And there is no controls to perform any action during the flight. Gravity is one of the main factors of the four main aerodynamic forces. Krypton ship aka. Kryptor is our favourite Paper Airplane designs from Liftndrift.com, it has a sleek design to cut through the air to travel faster and their winglets adds are extra stability control during the flight. Two minutes for Noodles! isn’t it? Three minutes for Paper planes! It’s that simple with liftndrift*
Supplies Required:
- A4 Sheet of Paper or a Foolscap Paper with 70-90 GSM
- Ruler or Flat thick object to flatten the folded edges to make a strong crease.
Step 1:
- The first step is keeping your paper in horizontal — orientation over a table or over a flat surface
- Fold it from left to right and UNFOLD
Step 2:
- Bring the Top Right-hand edge and Top Left-hand edge to the centre crease and fold them
Step 3:
- Now, bring the left & right side diagonal edges to the centre crease as shown in Fig.3
Step 4:
- Its time for folding the paper airplane into half, Fold it from the left to right equally and check for their symmetry.
Step 5:
- Fold krypton wings down on both sides of about 1cm from the bottom diagonally
- Check the Fig.5 for your doubts.
Step 6:
- Winglets are great control surfaces for stabilizing your aircraft
- Fold the wings on both sides of about half-inch to the upside to make winglets
- Compare Fig.6 and Fig.7 for your doubts and instructions
Step 7:
- Your Paper airplane is all set for official ticket to the sky!
- Conquer the sky!
Krypton flying technique:
- Hold the Plane behind the centre of the plane’s gravity centre
- Keep your left foot slightly forward and launch it in 30 – 40 degrees angle, throw it steadily with a medium force. If it fails, tweak the tail wing slightly up and try again.
- Try different angles and forces now! Wow, That’s how one learns properly with more trying and flying. Kudos!
