Paper airplane designs are famous over many countries. In fact during World war II – United states had lot of paper toys and airplanes and other available materials. This paper model is easy to fold and fly – the design is sleek. When you choose to make model paper fly – choosing the right paper is also matters a lot. Supplies Required:
- A4 Sheet of Paper or a Foolscap Paper with 70-90 GSM
- Ruler or Flat thick object to flatten the folded edges to make a strong crease.
Step 1:
- The first step is keeping your paper in horizontal — orientation over a table or over a flat surface
- Fold it from left to right and UNFOLD
Step 2:
- Bring the Top Right-hand edge and Top Left-hand edge to the centre crease and fold them
Step 3:
- Valley fold the Left & Right diagonal edges to the center crease as shown in Fig.3
Step 4:
- Valley fold the paper airplane into half as the arrows directed but check for their symmetry
Step 5:
- Its the time for making the wing – Fold-down diagonal section to make wings of about 1 inches from the bottom line
- Do the same for the other side too
Step 6:
- Winglets are great control surfaces for stabilizing your aircraft
- Fold the wings on both side edges of about half-inch to the upside to make winglets
- Compare Fig.6 and Fig.7 for your doubts and instructions
Step 7:
- Now fold the already folded winglet of your flying paper into half downside further.
Step 8:
- Fold and bring up the wings of your paper airplane to upside with the same size of your fuselage fold
- Check the fig.8 and fig.9 for a better paper airplane.
Step 9:
- Your cosmos wandering Flying paper airplane is ready to unleash it’s power!
- Find a ground, soar the sky!
Flying paper airplane tossing technique:
- Hold the Plane behind the centre of the plane’s gravity centre
- Keep your left foot slightly forward and launch it in 30 – 40 degrees angle, throw it steadily with a medium force. If it fails, tweak the tail wing slightly up and try again.
- Try different angles and forces now! Wow, That’s how one learns properly with more trying and flying. Kudos!
