The magic of paper airplanes lies in the frontal section of them, Some Paper Airplane doesn’t cross a meter and they fall, because of their poor principles of construction. In order to make a best paper airplane, you need to make the nose-heavy. So when you throw them the frontal weight takes them in the correct position. Supplies Required:
- A4 Sheet of Paper or a Foolscap Paper with 70-90 GSM
- Ruler or Flat thick object to flatten the folded edges to make a strong crease.
Step 1:
- The first step is keeping your paper in portrait – orientation over the table
- Valley fold it from left to right and UNFOLD
- Do another fold from Top to Bottom and UNFOLD as shown in Fig.1
Step 2:
- Now, Fold the top section of the Paper to the centre crease you just made in step 1 (Yellow dot to dot)
Step 3:
- Fold it down again with the central horizontal crease as the centre
- Refer Fig.3 for your doubts
Step 4:
- Now, Bring the top right-hand edge to the centre line and top left-hand edge to the centre line with the yellow spot as the point of meeting
Step 5:
- Fold the nose section down to half of it length as shown in Fig.5 (Yellow dot to dot)
Step 6:
- Mountain fold the plane into half to the back section and also please check the Symmetry between both half
Step 7:
- Fold the wings with – half the length of the frontal section as shown in Fig.7
Step 8:
- Now, do the trifold by lifting up the whole diagonal section to the upside
- Do the same for the other side too

Step 9:
- Yes, you’re right! You have successfully made the fighter plane. It performs well and good
- Also, gives a smooth flight performance on Gentle launches.
- Try with dihedral wing for different flight performance
Fighter flying technique:
- Hold the Plane behind the centre of the plane’s gravity centre
- Keep your left foot slightly forward and launch it in 30 – 40 degrees angle, throw it steadily with a medium force. If it fails, tweak the tail wing slightly up and try again.
