Red Comet

Each of the planes you find in liftndrift has its unique characteristics traits, allows them to perform different tasks and stunts. Some of them are simple to fold – like darts. Some of them need to have special attention in folding. Let’s put our enthusiastic mind into making our best paper plane called Red comet.

Supplies Required:

  • A4 Sheet of Paper or a Foolscap Paper with 70-90 GSM
  • Ruler or Flat thick object to flatten the folded edges to make a strong crease.

Step 1:

  • Keep your A4 sheet of paper over a flat surface or a table in horizontal orientation

Step 2:

  • Fold it from bottom to the top equally without any misalignment.

Step 3:

  • Valley fold the top-left, bottom-left edges to the centre crease with dotted lines as the folding line.

Step 4:

  • Valley fold over the dotted lines about 3/4th of the triangle

Step 5:

  • Fold it equally into half and check for the symmetry

Step 6:

  • Fold-down the corner of red comet to the centre fold with a dotted line as the centre

Step 7:

  • Now, its the time for making the wings – fold down on both sides equally little bit below the fuselage level.

Step 8:

  • Bring up the wings as shown in the Fig.8
  • That’s it you are all ready to fly!

Red comet flying technique:

  • Launch it smoothly with maximum 30 – 40 degrees in angle, if it fails, tweak the tail wing slightly up and try again. Try different angles and forces now! Wow, That’s how one learns properly with more trying and flying. Kudos!
