Supplies Required:
- A4 Sheet of Paper or a Foolscap Paper with 70-90 GSM
- Ruler or Flat thick object to flatten the folded edges to make a strong crease.
Step1:
- Keep the A4 sheet of paper over the table in portrait orientation and fold it into half from top to bottom and UNFOLD
Step 2:
- Now, fold it from left to right and UNFOLD it after once done
Step 3:
- Now you have a center point of the both crease meeting
- Bring the top-right handed edge to the center point and fold it
Step 4:
- Now, it’s time for the other side
- Fold the top-left handed edge to center point and fold it.
Step 5:
- Now, fold the right hand edge and left hand edge to the center line.
Step 6:
- Fold the nose down to the backside of about 1.5 inch above the bottom line.
Step 7:
- Now, flip the plane to the other side
Step 8:
- Pull-up the nose to the upside with a 1cm gap from the top
- Refer fig.8 for your doubts.
Step 9:
- Flip your paper to the other side.
Step 10:
- Now valley fold the fins at right and left side edges as shown in fig.10
Step 11:
- Fold the plane into half with the center crease as mid line.
- Check the fig.11 for your reference.
Step 12:
- Fold the wings and winglets – Check the fig.12 it shows it all!
Step 13:
- You have successfully made then Record breaking Paper plane model. It performs well and good!
- Also, gives a smooth flight performance on Gentle launches.
- Try with dihedral wing for different flight performance.
World record Paper airplane design flying technique:
Hold the Plane behind the centre of the plane’s gravity centre
Keep your left foot slightly forward and launch it in 30 – 40 degrees angle, throw it steadily with a medium force. If it fails, tweak the tail wing slightly up and try again.
